Rob Springer K2 Expedition

First and foremost, thank you for visiting my site. If you're reading this, than you probably know I'll be climbing K2 this coming summer (June 2011-Aug 2011).

Why K2? For me it seems like the right mountain at the right time--the ultimate mountaineering test, combining the difficulties of extreme high altitude with the demands of technical alpine terrain. Including the first team, who reached the summit in 1954, only 300 people have ever successfully summited. This is a testament to the difficulties of the "Savage Peak".
